Amalia Quartett Barbara Seifert

Barbara Seifert studierte an der Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar bei Prof. Gernot Süßmuth und an der Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin bei Michael Mücke. Es folgte ein Aufbaustudium an der Orchesterakademie der Staatskapelle Berlin bei Lothar Strauß. Sie besuchte Meisterkurse bei Thomas Zehetmair und Julia Fischer. Barbara Seifert ist mehrfache Preisträgerin bei „Jugend musiziert“ und war Stipendiatin der Deutschen Stiftung Musikleben. Seit der Spielzeit 2009/2010 ist sie Stimmführerin der 2. Violinen der Staatskapelle Weimar. Des Weiteren widmet sich Barbara Seifert engagiert der Kammermusik, so u.a. im „Amalia Quartett“ und im „Weimarer Klavierquartett“.

Barbara Seifert studied at the Franz Liszt conservatoire in Weimar with Prof. Gernot Süssmuth and at the Hanns Eisler conservatoire in Berlin with Michael Mücke. She proceeded to advanced studies with Lothar Strauss at the Orchestral Academy of the Berlin Staatskapelle. She has attended master classes with Thomas Zehetmair and Julia Fischer. Barbara Seifert is a multiple prizewinner at “Jugend musiziert” and held a scholarship from the “German Musical Life” Foundation. With effect from the 2009/2010 season, she has the rank of second-violin principal at the Weimar Staatskapelle. Barbara Seifert is also a committed chamber musician in such ensembles as the Amalia Quartet and the Weimar Piano Quartet.
